Outside pedestrian areas included in the refurbishment and expansion of the main building were rebuilt using interlocking tiles bordered by precast concrete prebuilt curb-stones.
Landscaping was carried out on the building’s perimeter and interior light courts on the ground floor, using grass, cold-resistant decorative shrubs and trees. The automatic fire extinguishing installation using sprinklers was entirely rebuilt along with the fire detection and alarm system. Smoke screens and open drencher curtains were placed on the interior courts’ facades to protect the enclosed areas.
The project received 2022 BigSEE Slovenia Award.
