An interpretation of Danube Delta’s rural architecture, the project seeks to create a harmonious blend between the archetype of traditional fishermen houses and contemporary luxury.

The architectural language specific to the area, comprising the thatch roof, the use of wood with white and blue plaster coatings, is integrated into a contemporary mix of volumes that include holiday accommodation amenities with complementary functions.

Various elements are harmoniously combined to present a time continuum where tradition meets innovation. The design present some innovative solutions: the grid of concrete beams for foundations, metallic structure, metallic panels for walls (for fire safety) finished with reed.

The project’s awards:

  • fifth nominee at Bucharest Architecture Annual 2015
  • received Interarch Sofia silver medal 2015 and Special Prize of the Major of Burgas in 2015
  • American Architecture Masterprize Award in 2018
  • Mention at 2019 Craiova Oltenia Architecture Annual
