The Animal Farm was created as a clients’ desire to create a space dedicated to public interaction, especially for children, with as many domestic animals as possible. The idea was materialized by setting up a farm – park. The abandoned barn located on the old farm’s premises initiated a process of capitalization and architectural conversion. Relocated and regenerated, it has taken a new role as an access pavilion – a centerpiece for the whole ensemble, referencing traditional values.
The wooden structure of the barn, and especially the spatial morphology, have been preserved and highlighted by continuity of wood’s expression in all its forms, from the structure to the facades and finishes.
The ground floor has the following main functions: events space, education and leisure, reception, ticket offices, dining room (with kitchen and related annexes), closed terrace, souvenir shop. The loft accommodates the following functions: two spaces for events, office level hall, water closets and technical rooms.
