Moeciu de Jos Bed and Breakfast
Location: Moeciu de Jos, Brașov, Romania Total Surface Area: 450 sqm Project Status: Completed Date: 2003-2005, project financed through EU funding General designer and design for architecture, installations, interiors, quality site supervision This Bed and Breakfast was built with European Union funding, located in the village of Moeciu, Brasov county, hosting a total of 16 rooms and complementary functions. Through its distinctive architecture, it strongly contrasts with its built surroundings, integrating the project in the natural landscape of the valley. Using the accentuated slope of the roof framing, the volume starts at ground level and stretches to the mountain’s crests that make up the landscape, the scenery that envelops the building. Strong angles and sharp edges make up the silhouette of this Bed and Breakfast, inspired from the mountain-specific architectural language, interpreting it in a contemporary manner. During the project, OOPY Architecture offered both design and financial consultancy services. Sărata Monteoru Bed and Breakfast
Location: Sărata Monteoru, Buzău, Romania Total Surface Area: 1100 sqm Project Status: Concept Proposal, FS Date: 2010 General design and design for architecture, structure, installations, permitting Project proposal for a tourist 5 daisies standard bed&breakfast with accommodation rooms, restaurant, spa, additional facilities, financed through European funds. Sarata Monteoru, Buzau, Romania is a special location from a tourist point of view, with mineral and thermal waters, wild landscapes and multiple resources, unfortunately still unknown to the general public, unused or undeveloped until now. The proposal was made on a land plot located in the built-up area of the town, relatively central, with entirely improperly built neighborhoods, as an anchor and signal element for the future development of the entire surrounding area. The land has an accentuated natural slope, the subsoil being rocky under a thin green layer. The concept revolved around the volumetric idea of the spine placed along the line of the highest slope. The succession of connected vertebrae, placed and articulated on the slope, creates the volumetric space necessary for the circulations between the various functions of the pension, placed successively from the base, adjacent to the public space, towards the peak located in the privacy of the forested area. At the bottom, towards the street, the concierge, cafe, and access to the accommodation rooms are placed, in volumes placed in steps along the slope, with rooms located left right along the axis of traffic, hall access. At the top the restaurant space with kitchen and dining room which accommodates 40 people and the spa for the visitors. The construction is proposed to be made with metal structure on reinforced concrete foundations, exterior enclosures of well-insulated panels, ventilated facades and treated wood exterior finish. Pascucci Cafe
Location: Bucharest, Romania Total Surface Area: 300 sqm Project Status: Completed Date: 2007 General designer and design for architecture, structure, installations, interiors Offering an urban-centric sensation, the intervention is centered on identity. The project’s innovation was the concept generator, establishing an original intervention in the street landscape. The design resorts to an intense color-scheme comprising red and black, thus creating a presence that stands out by its opposition to the destructed context of the urban street. Location: Dragomirești Deal, Ilfov, Romania Total Surface Area: 700 sqm Project Status: Completed Date: 2017 Interior design for a space that is governed by ideas of rigor, clarity and communication opening. The first one is achieved by expressing perfectly straight lines, the second by the materializing of light, white and glass. The architectural design in white, gray, black and translucent highlights people in their everyday dynamic path. Turda BCR Offices
Location: Turda, Cluj, Romania Total Surface Area: 2000 sqm Project Status: Completed Date: 2013 General designer and design for architecture, structure, design coordination, installations, permitting The restoration of an edifice from the 19th century, located in a historically sensitive context, aimed to bring back to life an important building in the city of Turda, Romania. Following the restoration, the building received a new function, being converted into BCR headquarters. Respect for the inherited architectural values is reflected in the care with which all the elements that make up this heritage object have been preserved and restored. The building, thus, becomes a reference for the relevance of the past and the meaning of heritage in maintaining the local identity. Graphics Art
Location: Bucharest, Romania Total Surface Area: 30 sqm Project Status: Completed Date: 2017 General designer and design for architecture, structure, installations The urban intervention for the headquarters of a local company from Bucharest proposes restructuring the access of an existing ensemble. The architectural project aims to remodel the fencing and guarding point consisting of a small building. An unitary image was created by consistency of plastic expression for all elements the are part of the intervention. Both the guard-cabin and the enclosure were treated with rusty finishes proposed in a similar pattern. In addition to the base finish, metallic elements in two shades were introduced, both as fence panels as well as gates. These elements are also present for the cabin extension with a structurally independent cover that covers the pedestrian circulation. The contrast of textures and colors, as well as the harmony of proportions being created, offer a new identity to this access by elevating it into a signal element in the urban public space. Riverside Tower
Location: Bucharest, Romania Total Surface Area: 13249 sqm Project Status: Completed Date: 2007 General designer and design for architecture, structure Riverside Tower is an Office Building with Bf+GF+M+14+15 (technical floor), enjoying a splendid view and a great location in the Grozavești area, on the Dâmbovița river. The building has offices with workstations, meeting rooms, conference rooms, protocol rooms, equipped executive offices, currently being one of the only office buildings with a rentable area of 13,248.99 square meters that offer this facility. It is equipped with 6 high speed elevators, 3 of them panoramic elevators. The building is located 200 m away from the Grozavesti subway station and the overground transportation: trams, buses, there is a bus stop in front of the building. In the surronding neighborhood are Carrefour Orhideea, Grozavesti Overpass, Polytechnics University, Afi Cotroceni Mall. The access to the location is made from two streets: Splaiul Independentei, the main boulevard, with 2 directions, and from the secondary street Lt. Stefan Marinescu. The project presented some innovative construction solutions that led to a rational and efficient level of investment with high impact. The central heating system is located on the roof of the tower so that it has cheaper fire protection for the entire building. Parking lots are located on the Mezzanine and 1st Floor, with open air facades, in the initial project. Central ventilation units are located according to the sunlight survey, allowing maximum efficiency with minimum consumption.
